I grew up in a small coastal city, spending my days running on driftwood and finding solace in the smell of phytoplankton along the shore. My fascination with the marine environment grew and I later completed a Ph.D. in Aquatic Biosciences with a specialization in marine ecology.
I studied creative writing, non-fiction, narrative non-fiction, and children's literature alongside my scientific education. I am the recipient of Nord University's Dissemination Prize for communicating marine ecology research to the public.
I founded North SciComm with the goal of sharing science and tech research with the public. I’m here to guide you through the ins and outs of the science communication process. I hope to motivate the public to become more curious about the science around us - and to share your knowledge.
